"HomesteadLemmings": A .jpeg Computer Composite

This composite was created after reading countless messages on the discussion boards at Homestead relating to the announcement of a change in service from free to pay. So many people are still asking questions, and are upset, even after a couple of weeks, and I just got a picture in my head of so many lemmings jumping over a cliff. So I had to create this composite. The original idea would have the animations move, but I couldn't figure out how to do that, so this is a jpeg instead. I am not sure of the "message" inherent in this piece, whether the little homestead icons are members who are leaving the service, or if they are staying and tumbling into the abyss of paid internet service. This is a new section for July 2001, so I need to create more works anyway. C'est la vie en la web, as it were. MFN 7/8/01 9:58am pst
